Raising minimum wage would raise unemployment? 

unemployment rates are a lie already due to part time jobs counting as a job but the wages are not enough already. History has shown the opposite as well.

No, it will decrease poverty and increase the average standard of living.

Free market should be in charge not the government? 

Without government involvement, free market cause major exploitation of poor hardworking people, and history has proven this fact over and over again with immigrants, African Americans and other workers.
